Red Sox blank Athletics 7-0 as Garrett Crochet fans 10; Story, Narváez homer
Garrett Crochet struck out 10 over seven scoreless innings as Boston shut out Oakland 7-0 in West Sacramento. Trevor Story and Carlos Narváez hit solo homers, while Jarren Duran, Alex Bregman, and Masataka Yoshida added two hits and an RBI each. Boston moved to 80-65, holding second in the AL wild-card race, one game behind the Yankees. The teams meet five more times this month.
